Frequently Asked Questions

How do I report a post or block a user?

Tap the (•••) menu on any post, comment, or user profile and choose "Report" or "Block." Reports are reviewed within 24 hours per our Objectionable Content Policy. Blocked users disappear from your feed instantly, and you can unblock them anytime from Profile → Blocked Users.

How does recipe search work?

Kitch uses AI to suggest recipes tailored to your taste and dietary preferences. Search for a dish or ingredient and we'll surface ones you'll want to cook.

Can I share my own recipes?

Yes! Tap the "+" button on the Feed tab to create and share your own recipes with the Kitch community.

Is my data secure?

Absolutely. We use AWS Cognito for authentication and industry-standard encryption to protect your data. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

How to Delete Your Account

If you wish to delete your Kitch account, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Kitch app and go to your Profile tab
  2. Tap the menu icon (three dots) in the top right corner
  3. Select "Delete Account"
  4. Optionally select a reason for leaving (this helps us improve)
  5. Tap the "Delete Account" button
  6. Type DELETE to confirm
  7. Tap "Delete" to permanently delete your account

Warning: This action is permanent

Deleting your account will permanently remove your profile, all posts and recipes, likes, saved recipes, followers, following, and shopping lists. This cannot be undone.
